Pocahontas PSD Meeting Scheduled for Wednesday Feb 4th - Public Comment on Site / Alternatives

The January 27th Pocahontas PSD meeting was cancelled due to weather.

The Public Service District has re-scheduled this meeting to February 3, 5:30 pm at the Community Center (Beckwith Lumber) at Slatyfork.

The proposed agenda for the meeting is as follows:

What: Pocahontas County Public Service District regular meeting
When: Wednesday, February 4, 2009 @ 5:30pm
Where: Slatyfork Community Center (at Beckwith Lumber)

Opening of Meeting/Executive Session to consider and/or act on personnel issues.

Consider and/or act on Reorganization of the PSD Officers for the year 2009.

Reading of the minutes for December 30, 2008 for approval.
Review and/or act on financial statements, bills payable and paid, for January 2009.

Consider and/or act on submitting to the IJDC with funding request, the revised preliminary Engineering Reports for the PSD Regional Wastewater project.

Consider and/or act on Amendment #4 to the Engineering agreement for the PSD Phase II Regional Wastewater System project.
Consider and/or act on approval of sewer project invoices from Region-4.

Consider and/or act on issues related to the transfer of the sewer utilities to the PSD.

Consider and/or act on obtaining the Snowshoe Water System.

Consider and/or act on a peer review of Thrasher Engineering recommendations.

Public Comment Period.

It is expected that the PSD and Thrasher Engineering will receive public comments on the alternatives / cost analysis presented at the January 8th meeting.

Eight Rivers Safe Development will provide comment and input on the proposed sites/alternatives.

All who have a stake in the Upper Elk Watershed are encouraged to attend and participate in Tuesday's meeting.
