PSD Response to 8Rivers FOIA Request Regarding Oct 7 08 PSD Meeting
Eight Rivers Safe Development, Inc. has received a response to the FOIA sent to the Pocahontas Public Service District (PSD) regarding the meeting between PSD members Scott Millican and Bill Rexrode, Senator Walt Helmick, Frank Jezioro (DNR) and others on October 7th, 2008 at the Slatyfork Community Center.
The FOIA request and response from the PSD are as follows:
FOIA Request: The public notice for the meeting.
PSD Response: None. This was not a meeting of the PSD. The PSD members were invited to meet with Chris E. Jarrett, West Virginia Water Development Authority.
FOIA Request: Any minutes, notes, recording, etc. of the meeting.
PSD Response: None.
FOIA Request: Any documents by Messrs. Rexrode and Millican during or prior to the meeting.
PSD Response: See copies of enclosed letters from Chris E. Jarrett dated August 14, 2008 and letters from William Rexrode dated September 9, 2008 which were reviewed during the meeting.
FOIA Request: Any other documents reflecting discussion, deliberation, and/or any decision(s) made or action(s) taken by the PSD as a result of the meeting.
PSD Response: None. There were no deliberations, decisions or actions taken.
The letters outline the planned schedule of payments for the $2.5 million Phase I project funds.
These payments are “for a revised preliminary application to acquire the sewer utility of Snowshoe Water & Sewer, Inc., to repay the Infrastructure Fund deferred design loan, to repay the Pendleton County Bank, to pay all previously incurred professional costs associated with the project, and to pay for additional costs associated with the Division of Environmental Protection’s funding and permitting process.”
